Why do you put the fish first in the work you do?<\/b>
“Because it\u2019s one of the areas where we can achieve the greatest value creation through helping fish farmers achieve the highest possible rate of fish survival and growth. Primarily, I work with digital solutions that contributes to better fish health in general. Among these SalmoNIR, which is developed for sampling and analysing fat and colour of live salmon. It makes it possible to scan live fish instead of slaughtering it. This means we save the fish as well as time and money.”

What would happen if you did not prioritize fish health and fish welfare in your work?
<\/span><\/b>“If we didn\u2019t prioritise this, we would be less efficient and relevant to our customers. Fish health and welfare is something they care deeply about.” <\/span><\/p>\n

What are the benefits of prioritising <\/span><\/b>fish health and welfare, and for whom?
<\/b><\/span><\/span>“It benefits the entire food chain, all the way from the producer to the consumer. To the consumer, it\u2019s important that the food they eat is produced in a proper way.” <\/span><\/p>\n

Why should Fish First be an important focus area for the whole of Cargill?
<\/b><\/span>“<\/span>I think it\u2019s natural when you work with ocean farming. It\u2018s about prioritising the product, quality-wise, with the end product in mind, but also purely ethically. It brings our product into focus and reminds us of what this is ultimately all about.”  <\/span> <\/b>   <\/span> <\/b>  <\/span><\/p>\n
