Aquaculture Stewardship Council (ASC)<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0is an independent organization which certifies environmental and social wellbeing in farmed Seafood, including animal welfare and transparency. The ASC farm standard was launched in 2012.\u00a0<\/p>

The new ASC feed standard<\/strong>, effective from 2023, takes the ASC\u2019s approach to responsible aquaculture and extends it to the feed mills that manufacture aquafeed, as well as the suppliers of their ingredients. The purpose is to ensure that fish feed factories meet strict environmental and social requirements, source ingredients from socially responsible Suppliers, and use environmentally responsible raw materials. From October 2025 all ASC-farmers must use ASC-compliant feed to in order to keep the ASC certification of their fish.<\/p>

EWOS Canada Ltd is certified in compliance with the ASC Feed Standard<\/h2>

EWOS Canada Ltd is ASC compliant, and delivers feed to ASC-certified farmers. The company achieved ASC Feed Standard certification in December 2024 as first in the country. Achieving this certification involved completing a rigorous and comprehensive audit process, which\u00a0 included adhering to environmental, social and governance standards, extensive supply chain assessment, and more. Part of this process has been to publish documentation on this page for stakeholders, which you find in the column on the right under “Documentation”.<\/p>
