Salmon feeds

EWOS opal salmon diet

The EWOS opal feed concept delivers three ranges of feed that are adapted to meet the salmon’s nutritional needs and provide the farmers with the flexibility to achieve their business goals. Using EWOS opal feeds, the farmer can tailor feed strategies to balance high growth rates, high sustainability or least cost of production.

Some key features of EWOS opal are:

  • EWOS ‘OilMix’ ensures the feed contain a carefully blended selection of oils that give active control over fat saturation and digestibility.
  • EWOS ‘ProteinMix’ ensures the delivery of correct quantities of amino acids at the right time and with optimal bioavailability.
  • EWOS opal feeds contain carefully selected blends of ingredients to ensure good feed palatability. Selected diets contain natural ingredients to enhance palatability during periods when the salmon’s natural appetite is likely to be reduced.
  • The OPAL feed concepts ensures that the diets adapts to changes during the fish’s life cycle and in their environment and provide an optimised diet for the fish.
