A Last Minute Winner for Glenelg AFC!

Glenelg AFC received a monetary donation from EWOS in the final minutes of their 2010 season. The team, which plays out of Glenelg village on the West coast of Scotland and whose season runs from Spring to Autumn, will use the contribution towards new equipment and an upgrade of the playing surface, as well as spectator shelter (a prerequisite for highland fixtures!).  The link between EWOS and Glenelg AFC is through Marine Harvest Scotland site, Loch Hourn, which has been supplied by EWOS since April 2010.  Although the Loch Hourn site operates out of Arnisdale, the majority of staff, all of which have some involvement with the local club as players or committee members, live in Glenelg village.

Marine Harvest Scotland Loch Hourn Site manager (and Glenelg AFC secretary), Alex Harvey said of the sponsorship “We plan to have the equipment bought and in place by Spring 2011, with the spectator shelter by late Autumn.  Over the next two years we will work through a planned maintenance programme for the club.”  EWOS wish Glenelg AFC all the very best for forthcoming season.
