EWOS were happy to provide some sponsorship to the Lochgilphead Boys U16 team recently, supporting the purchase of some new team tracksuits.

The team are pictured here alongside EWOS Account Manager Lindsay Pollock (right) and Meridian Salmon employee George Bruce (left).

George, his wife and son together with Rona and Billy Meechan, give up their time to run training sessions and shuttle the boys’ team around Argyll and beyond to play league fixtures and friendlies.

The team has been up and running for 3 seasons and is well attended by an enthusiastic group of local boys from Lochgilphead, Tarbert and the surrounding areas.

Rona Meechan said “We have a great, close-knit team of boys but it can be very costly to run the team. With increasing travelling costs and rises in park hire rates, it was a fantastic bonus to have the boys all kitted out in matching tracksuits to wear to games.  It makes them look very professional.

Lindsay Pollock of EWOS said “EWOS are a main supplier to fish farming companies in the Mid Argyll area and we are happy to be able to support community activities in the areas which we operate. We felt that the boys' football team was a very worthwhile cause and we’d like to wish them the best of luck for the season!”
