New MD in EWOS Chile

Kjell Bjordal , COO of EWOS, has the pleasure of informing that Mr.Andrés Tagle has been appointed Managing Director of EWOS Chile and will assume his position from September 1, 2010. Mr. Tagle has been Commercial Manager in EWOS Chile since he joined the company in 2003, and has shown tremendous leadership and customer relation in terms of maintaining EWOS’ leading position in the Chilean market.

Mr.Karl Samsing, who has been EWOS Chile MD for the last 18 years, has decided to resign from his position in order to seek new opportunities. The EWOS board has with regret accepted Mr. Samsing’s resignation. Mr. Samsing will be available full time for EWOS until the end of November 2010.

We wish both Mr.Tagle and Mr. Samsing the best with their new challenges.

EWOS has for the first time passed the milestone of a combined production of 1 million tonnes from our operations in Norway, Scotland, Chile, Canada and Vietnam in one financial year. Interest for the 1 million tonnes campaign has been overwhelming. Our campaign website 1 million tonnes.com has generated considerable traffic, in total over 4.700 played the 1 million tonnes game during the two week competition.
